What???

So Ken apparently has been a little board in Texas, or he is off his Rocker. I would like all my fellow blog readers (like there is so many of you out there) to know that my wonderful and charming husband who I love dearly left the last post on this blog. You would think if he would take the time to hack onto my blog and leave a random post he would dedicate it to me and how wonderful I am and what I am getting for Christmas (like the treadmill I want or something).
So with that being said, Ken I have really embarrassing photos of you, I love you and can't wait to see you again.

It has been a while....

So, yes I know it's been a while since I've made a post. But I've been so busy killing zombies that I simply haven't had the time to do much else. Plus PJ is constantly running around "neh-neh" that the zombies have almost over ran our house.

So, to keep you entertained until Christmas, I've included a picture of Santa. He's coming and it's that time of the year where we all have to ask ourselves, "Do you believe?". After looking at this picture, I know I do.

Have a Happy Holiday's and I'll post something about how great my husband is after Christmas.

Day out

Yesterday was so much fun. My friend Darby watched the girls pretty much all day long so I could get out of the house and have some "me time". My mom and I love to go to antique stores and look around. This is one of my favorite things to do. I love the 20"s Era and love the Jewelry from the 1920's, we found this shop that sells all the antique jewelry you can stand to look at. We were in that one little store for way to long having so much fun. It was a much needed break and felt so good to get out.

Ellie said I could

I layed Presley down for a nap about 20 minutes ago and have been playing catch up around the house picking up toys and toilet paper (don't ask) and then Ellie comes to me and says in her cutest little voice "mom, you have been working really hard today, go shopping on the computer and buy something pretty for you" So Ken if your reading this......Ellie said I could.

PumpkinPatch

A few weekends ago we took the girls to the pumpkin patch. This is a tradition we have done every year. The girls love walking around and finding the best, the biggest, the roundest pumpkin they can find. This is one of my most favorite things to do and look forward to it every year. I love the fall and all the colors it brings and yummy treats and the family time.

Royal Gorge (part 2)

This deserves it's very own post. When we were at the Royal Gorge Maci and I went on the Tallest Sky Coaster in the World. She was to big for the Donkey ride and we felt bad so we offered to take her on the sky coaster. I totally thought she would say NOWAY, but she was so brave and did! It was pretty cool because you fly over the edge of the gorge and then there is nothing but hundreds of feet below you. We have a video but I spent all afternoon trying to get it on and gave up, so maybe another day. It was so fun and Maci is still talking about how brave she was.

Royal Gorge

Back in September we celebrated my 32 birthday by taking the family on a much needed family trip to Colorado Springs. While we were there we went to the Royal Gorge Bridge and had a great time. The weather was perfect and we loved every minute of the time together.

The is the Bridge that you walk across and on both ends of the bridge there are many things to do, the best was just to walk around and look at the amazing views of the canyons.

I love this picture, the girls were having a great time walking and talking with their daddy that they did not even know that I had fallen behind to take a picture. (so cute)

Presley went on a Donkey ride with Ellie.

Ellie loved the petting zoo and the girls wanted to take home a goat so bad.

One of the attractions there is this inclined train that takes you to the bottom of the Gorge. You get in this caged train and it takes you down this very steep straight down tracks to the river below.

Way down there you can see another caged train that is blue coming on the way up while we are going down.

You can also take the Gondola from one side of the Gorge to the other, Ellie loved looking out the Gondola over the edge to way down below, she was not scared at all.

Still in Colorado

We are still in Colorado well, the girls and I are. Ken lives here about 20% with us and then 40% in New Mexico and the other 40% in Texas. Things are hard right now and our family time with him is very limited so when he is here we take every minute with him seriously. The girls and I miss him so much and there are many times that I lock myself in the bathroom just to get a quite moment. I do feel so blessed that he is so happy with his job and we are so excited when the day comes that we sell our home and move back to Dallas.

So here's the scoop

Life is just full of surprises, and boy do we have a few to tell. Gee, I don't even know where to start. Ken was laid off of his job at WWF about a month ago, his position was being eliminated at the company-he has not been happy there for awhile and things were a little stressed at the office. He was actually thinking of finding a new job soon but was a little hesitant because of the economy. So his last day of work was September 1, the whole month before that we felt amazingly comforted that everything is going to be just fine. We did not have answers as to where a paycheck was going to come from but we both knew that this was in the Lord's hands and we need to trust in him. We would pray that a job would come up soon and this peace would be with us that it was going to be fine. So his last day was on the 1st and that Wednesday before he left he got this amazing job offer from his old Boss. We knew this is where he is suppose to be. So here is the crazy part, this amazing job opportunity is back in Texas!! So we are packing up and heading out. We loved living in Texas and have always said that we would go back, now we just have to sell out house. Ken just started his new job today at Border Foods Inc. as their Director of Financial Reporting, this is like a "dream job" for him so he is walking around with the biggest smile ever. The girls and I are staying in Colorado until the home sells (keep your fingers crossed it sells soon). We are use to having him gone through out the week because he would travel so much but this is harder. It is a bitter sweet time in our life right now we got use to being close to Utah and that was great because of all the family that is there and also all the great friends and my family that we have here that we will miss, but we are also so excited for this time in our life.
Well there you go, I have already got about 15 boxes packed, I figure that with Ken now basically living in Texas this move is up to me. So here's the quick update on us and now I am off to go pack.
Oh, FYI to my Texas friends the office is located in Farmers Branch, so not to far from our old house. And thank you so much Bob and Valerie you guys are Awesome-love ya guys!!!

Third Grade

Well Maci was all ready for school to start this morning. She got new clothes, new shoes (I give them a week before they are no longer white) a new backpack, and a new haircut. She was up this morning at 6:20 -that is 40 minutes before she was suppose to be up but she was so excited and couldn't sleep. Her friends Haylee, Shayna and Abbie are all in her class (that poor teacher) and she came home saying that she loves Mrs. Ross and did not want to come home, Yea you heard me right, now if only she has this kind of attitude every school year we will be just fine. Here's to no more sleeping in durning the week and homework after schools- I say "Bring it on!

10 year Anniversary

Ken and I hit our 10 year anniversary and decided it was time to get away and head to Alaska. We took a 7 day cruise on the Princess Sapphire Ship and loved every second of it. On a scale of 1-10 ten being the best it was at least a 12. We had such a good time relaxing and enjoying the scenery. The weather was AWESOME, it never rained on us and was about 80 walking around the towns. Our one cold day it was about 40 and that was up into College Fjord where some glaciers are. One thing we learned pretty early was "man you will never starve on a cruise". There was food every where we turned and it was all you can eat, so of course my diet ended this week and was out the door the whole trip. We were so spoiled the whole trip and were waited on every second. We loved it so much we are already planning to go again.

We flew into Vancouver, Canada and that is where we boarded the ship. On the way into port the ship hit a whale (they think the whale was already dead) so that was the start of our trip and the first pictures I have of our ship.
Vancouver was so beautiful the city is surrounded by these gorgeous mountains and then the ocean is right at the base of the mountains-so pretty!

Keep on scrolling down for tons of pictures of our cruise.

Day two

Day two of our cruise we were just cruising the whole day. It was about 522 Nautical miles to our first port in Ketchikan. We were so lazy the whole day and sat back and enjoyed the beautiful views.

How many shoes do you need for a 7 day cruise?
